Dear friends,
At the beginning of the summer, on this evening tamtamART have the pleasure to invite you to our Opening for Graphics Exhibition : SCENERY。UTOPIE。QUIET by three artists from three different nations, Gérald Ciolkowski (FR) ,Yi-Chen Huang (TW) and Hironori Minematsu (JP) and also three different breathes of imagination: "Utopie, 幽(Quiet), Scenery". We invite you to discover together how they change this space into a fantasy journey by re-decoring all the walls.
The exhibition will open on May 28 and will be on view until June 5. At the opening night, Let your eyes and ears wide open! because we are also going to present you a live performance combines with Event: KLANGaBEND # 1 by OriOriOri (JP) + Live Painting by Mine-Taro (JP) beginning at 9.30 pm.
Gérald Ciolkowski, 37 years old, lives in Paris and paints for more than 15 years. Self-taught artist, his artwork is close of Art Brut and Art Singulier (Folk Art French movement launched by Dubuffet in 50's). He exhibits regularly in France, Europe and Asia (recently to the International Art singulier Festival of Normandy - France or in Taipei - Taiwan). He draws his inspiration in : news on TV, photography, movies (as Tsai Ming-Liang movies), street art, graffiti, calligraphy, tattoo art, aboriginal art, urbanity, big cities, History, or music... He needs to collects many images, pictures, newspapers articles before starting creating. He recovers many old material and papers, old postcards or used envelopps to paint on with chinese ink or draw with pastel or permanent marker. He never buys really often new paper or paint. He paints with black ink (Chinese ink), accumulating faces, people and many characters or items on the paper.
Yi-Chen Huang 1986 Born in Taiwan, works as a artist and designer in Berlin and Taiwan. After comleting a BFA from National Taiwan Universty of Arts in 2008. She moved to Berlin in 2009 and strats her studie in Berlin Weissensee School of Art Visual Communication and her artist practice.
Hironori Minematsu 1982 Born in Japan, live in Berlin, in 2004 he received his B.A.(major oil painting) from Tama Art University. He received several awards from CANON, Seiko- Epson and more when he was student. Hironori Minematsu has exhibited widely internationally. Next year he will exhibit at Saitama Mordern Art Museum, Saitama, Japan. It will be his first big exhibition at national museum in Japan. At the moment he work as cleaner in Berlin and as road maker in Japan.
OriOriOri 1983 Born in Japan, live in Berlin, in 2008 he started his music career as recording engineer at music studio in Japan.After having experienced several recording sessions he started composing own music , and move to Berlin in late 2010 to realize his own vision of electronic music.
